Before the darkness, Kevin Wolf was a normal teenager.  At 14, he fell in love with Chloe Bellecoeur, the girl next door, and they both shared plans for the future.  Life together was like a fairy tale story until a predator’s actions changed the Bellecoeur family forever.  Shortly after Chloe’s murder, Graham Cassidy stood trial for the crime.  Cassidy's associates bribed the judge and the main witness, resulting in his acquittal. Neither Kevin nor the courtroom crowd could believe the injustice that had just been perpetrated.  Kevin, angry and yearning for revenge, decided to retaliate against the murderer of his only true love.  He purchased a gun and awaited Cassidy’s arrival at his nightclub.  Arthur Brown confronted him before he could pull the trigger.  Brown encouraged the boy to accept the role of the Shadow Chaser.  Learning that Brown was the first Shadow Chaser, Kevin accepted the offer.  Kevin spent nearly two years in Japan under the training of Makoto Tanaka, a master in the Shadow Art.  The 17-year-old became the new Shadow Chaser pursuing the evil and darkness that prevails over the streets of Toronto.
