History:
The House of Tanaka has
maintained the secrets of the Shadow Art with
pride and with honour for over 1,800 years.
From father to child, the secrets of this
ancient art were passed down through the
generations.
Today, the tradition continues with the
three sons of Daichi Tanaka.
However, one of them proved to be the
most gifted in the art.
Makoto has spent the majority of his
years living the art of his fathers.
Tanaka faced many tragedies in his
lifetime, most notably the deaths of his wife
and son.
At the age of 50, Tanaka broke with tradition
when he trained a young Arthur Brown the secret
of the ancients. Owing the young gaijin for
saving his granddaughter's life, Tanaka trained
Brown, and in a way, gave birth to the Shadow
Chaser.
Now at 80, he trains Kevin Wolf the Shadow Art.
Tanaka’s dedication and commitment to
truth exemplifies the word, “honour.”
